VIDEO KALEIDOSCOPE DESIGNS

Each of these designs incorporates a Kaleidoscopic theme.  Each design explores possibilities and is open to modifications.  There are recurrent themes in the designs that are also open to modification.  In specific, the color scheme that I chose for the “Kaleidoscope Case” reflects my belief in the healing properties of the primary colors.  The color choices of the cabinet are of course changeable.

Design #1

The Video Kaleidoscope has a commercial video camera (designed for 24/7 use) that records images in real time from the Kaleidoscope Unit that is placed in front of the camera. The Kaleidoscope Unit has a first surface mirror system with a focusing lens that captures whatever is placed in front of its aperture opening. The resulting Kaleidoscopic image is projected in real time onto the video monitor.

The Teleidoscope is a first surface mirror system with viewing portals on each end. This system allows viewers on each end to see the other viewer as a Kaleidoscope image. This design allows much surprise, as neither viewer is able to see the other viewer except as a Kaleidoscopic image through the viewing portals.
